What this does not measure

  • It checks the links on the URL you paste, not your whole site. A full broken-link sweep needs a crawl, which this tool does not run.
  • It follows redirects and reports the final status, so a 301 is reported as the page it lands on rather than as a failure.
  • A 403 or 429 from a link is reported as a block, not a broken link. Many sites refuse automated requests, and calling that broken is the most common way a link checker lies to you.
  • It does not check whether a the destination is a good page, only whether it answers with a success status.

Paste a page. We fetch every link on it and report what each one answers. A 403 or a 429 is reported as a block, not a broken link — that is the distinction most link checkers get wrong. The first 25 links are checked.
