A free alternative to Screaming Frog for auditing one page
The first thing people open Screaming Frog to do: point it at a URL and read what is wrong with that page.
What this does not replace
- Crawling your whole site. Screaming Frog walks thousands of pages from your machine; we audit one page and probe a bounded set around it.
- JavaScript rendering. It renders with an embedded Chromium and we read the HTML the server returns.
- The log file analyser, custom extraction, visual sitemaps and scheduled crawls. None of that exists here.
- Working offline. This is a hosted service, so it needs the web and your URL to be publicly reachable.
Read this before you switch
- Screaming Frog is a one-off licence with no per-use cost, so for heavy use it is cheaper than a credit balance.
- If you already own it and know it, there is no reason to switch for one page.
