Step by step
Step 1. Verify the site first
How to use it: Rank tracking refuses unverified sites. On the site overview, complete Show ownership & setup until the header badge reads Verified — then return here.
Step 2. Create a config
How to use it: Name the config, set country/language, device, depth (Top 10/20/100), and schedule, then press Create config.
Step 3. Add keywords
How to use it: Choose the config, paste one keyword per line, or import from saved keywords, GSC striking distance, or CSV.
Step 4. Check now
How to use it: Runs a SERP check for every keyword in the config and stores a snapshot for the report below.
Step 5. Read the config count
How to use it: The number beside each config name is how many keywords it holds — (0) means add keywords before you can check.
When a number looks wrong
- Missing provider data reads not available — never 0.
- Not verified on the site overview means ownership is not proven yet — see the site verification guide before rank tracking, monitoring, local SEO, or AI visibility.
- Rank checks are one location, one device, one moment. Search Console averages every impression — they will disagree.
