What this does not measure

  • Eligibility is not a guarantee of a rich result. Google also requires the visible page content to match the markup, and it may still choose not to show one.
  • It validates against the Google feature requirements we have recorded. Google changes them without announcing it, and a type it retires stops being eligible the day it retires.
  • It reads JSON-LD in the source HTML only. Microdata and RDFa are not parsed.
  • It does not check whether the values are true — only whether the properties a feature requires are present.
